About GWD

General Wholesale has been the premier source of quality heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC) in the state of South Carolina for over fifty-five years. Founded in 1950 and headquartered in Greenville, SC, GWD is a business-to-business company with 51 full-time employees. Our territory managers are HVAC professionals and average 20+ years of sales experience. Additionally, GWD has four fully-stocked warehouses located in Greenville, Columbia, Charleston, and Myrtle Beach.

GWD is the only independent distributor of Trane residential and light commercial products in South Carolina. The resources provided through Trane offer stability, product innovation, and national brand recognition to our dealer partners.

In order to fully meet the needs of our dealer partners, GWD also offers HVAC parts from a variety of vendors and Sanyo cooling and heating products.
